There are more than one hundred `mailing
lists <./community/mailinglists.html>`__, dozens of web-based
`forums <https://forums.FreeBSD.org/>`__, and several
`newsgroups <./community/newsgroups.html>`__ available. There are over
86 `user groups <./usergroups.html>`__ in 38 unique countries around the
world. There is also an active `IRC <./community/irc.html>`__ community.
Many developers also maintain `blogs <http://planet.freebsdish.org>`__
about their FreeBSD work. Developers and key contributors also maintain
a `wiki <http://wiki.FreeBSD.org/>`__, which contains information about
FreeBSD development and related projects.

Last year there were 9 FreeBSD events in 7 different countries around
the world. A `calendar <./events/events.ics>`__ and `RSS
feed <./events/rss.xml>`__ of upcoming FreeBSD-related events are
maintained on our `events page <./events/events.html>`__. There are
dozens of videos from past events on the `BSD
Conferences <//www.youtube.com/bsdconferences>`__ channel on YouTube.

Social Networking
